We are attempting this again. The Spring ORC with the COVID-19 and homeschool and traveling didn’t end up working out. It was just a lot for me at the moment. I’m excited about this Fall Challenge though. I’ll be tackling my daughters room and finishing it! No 75% club anymore!
Here is the plan. This was a more difficult board to put together just because a lot of the items I found thrifting and am having to build or refinish it myself. We’ve got a budget here and lots of DIY is happening. But that also means lots of tutorials and things to show you.
I have had a little girl for almost 6 years now and have never done her room. I want her space to reflect her. Violet is the girliest tomboy you’ll ever meet. She will wrestle with the boys, run around barefoot, play sports with the best of them. She is also VERY girly. Loves beautiful things, art, unicorns, flowers, the color pink and getting into dresses. She is such an awesome little girl already.
We will be wallpapering the entire room with rental friendly wallpaper.
a huge bullitin board for her pictures and art will go above her cube storage that holds toys and books.
The play kitchen is getting a makeover.
I found a headboard for $10 that will also be getting refinished and a bed frame built with it.
The nightstand I also got thrifting for $30 and will be getting a nice little makeover as well.
Antique brass, wood, yellows, pinks, whites and lots of pretty texture is all going to be involved.
I’m excited to transform this space and bring you along for the process.
