ENGLAND : Day 2 London - Started off by visiting

ENGLAND : Day 2 London

- Started off by visiting the Natural History Museum. The building was more impressive than the displays and exhibitions.
-Buckingham Palace was a extremely busy but glad we saw it so we don’t feel like we have to do that again. 😂 They are getting ready for the coronation so it was a construction zone.
- St. Paul’s Cathedral has my heart. So beautiful and lots of moving monuments there as well as well as it’s incredible size and detail.
-Platform 9 3/4 was underwhelming 😉 but Kings Cross Station is a huge travel hub and very cool.
-Ended the day at Hyde Park and fulfilled all my regency Jane Austen novel dreams. 😆. It’s an incredible park!
-We felt less rushed today. Not as many people in the city and we had the tube stations down better.
-we walked the streets and found hidden gems to eat at and also discovered beautiful buildings and architecture.
-Ryan and I found a few good pastries we liked. Sausage Rolls and Chicken Samosas.

England : Day 1 - London
-so much history! I forget how “young” American is. 🫣
-we toured the Tower of London that is huge and we could have probably spent an entire day there.
-Albert and Victoria Museum was a favorite for both of us. Again, you could spend 1/2 a day here at least and we are thinking of going back tomorrow.
-Big Ben & House of Parliament were closed but impressive just walking the perimeter.
-Westminster Abbey was closed as well to prep for the coronation but beautiful.
-We learned how to navigate the “Tube” and it was actually pretty fun in a stressful way. 😆
- I especially loved walking around and seeing beautiful moments like intricate doors, spring flowers in front of buildings and courtyard gardens.

Clearances and measurement questions! I get them all the time and sometimes I forget others don’t just inherently know them. 😆Obviously there are soooo many measurements that go into kitchens, like hundreds but these are the top four I get asked about most often during preliminary planning.

Peeled Garlic Hack!

I learned this trick from a Caribbean chef while on vacations few years ago. Mind. Blown! 🤯. And it works soooo well every time. No fancy tools needed.

1 - separate individual garlic cloves
2 - place in a glass jar with a lid
3 - Shake Shake Shake
4 - store peeled garlic in glass mason jar in fridge.
